Within 48 hours, your Squarespace template will be delivered directly to your account. You can choose to install it as a new website or apply it to an existing Squarespace 7.1 site. From there, you are free to customize, refine, and launch when you are ready.

If you choose New Site, the template will be added to your Squarespace account as a separate website. This gives you a fresh starting point while keeping your existing site intact. You can move over any pages or content you want to keep. When you are ready to go live, you will connect your domain and activate a Squarespace subscription for the new site.
If you choose Install into Existing Site, the template pages will be added to the Not Linked section of your current Squarespace 7.1 website. Your domain, subscription, and existing content will remain unchanged. You will then replace the placeholder content with your own and decide when to publish the new pages.

When you are ready to publish your website, or when the trial period ends, you will need to choose a Squarespace subscription plan. The plan you select will depend on how you plan to use your site.
If your website is informational or service based, a standard Squarespace plan is typically sufficient. If you plan to sell products or services through a shop, a Business or Commerce plan may be required depending on the features you need.
If you already have a Squarespace website and decide to use your template as a separate site, a new subscription will be required for the template site. Squarespace subscriptions cannot be transferred between websites.
You will also need a domain name to publish your site. Domains are typically purchased separately and pricing varies based on availability and demand. If you already own a domain, it can be connected to your new site when you are ready to launch.
